Brenda Jack-Rushing, a spirit-filled woman, with an apostolic-prophetic anointing resting upon her life, one who loves the Lord and His people.  Brenda is a native of Arizona, attended elementary school, high school, junior college, and seminary in Phoenix.  Destined for the ministry she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior in 1974.  Later, in 1977, she was called, anointed, and appointed to the “Gospel Ministry.”

Brenda is a member of the First Institutional Baptist Church, of Phoenix, Arizona, where she serves under the leadership of The Rev. Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr., Senior Pastor.

Brenda earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education from Anchor Theological Seminary of Texarkana, Arkansas, and her Master of Divinity, from Phoenix Bible College and Seminary.

She is a Licensed Minister and serves as founder and overseer of “Rushing Wind Ministries,” an Intercessory Prayer and Teaching Ministry. In this roll Brenda pursues the wonderful challenge of ministering to other ministers, promoting the importance of fervent prayer and Bible study, so they may become more effective in their own personal areas of ministry.

In 1999 Brenda started M.O.M., an acronym for “Men and Mother on a Mission” also known as the “Wrecking Crew.” A ministry project for parent-prayer-warriors to pray for their children. In 2008 Brenda established a Mentoring/ Life Coaching Ministry called “Sisters of Stature: under “The A.G.A.P.E. Project,” i.e., “Activating Gifts and Abilities and Promoting Excellence.”

Among other affiliations and memberships, Brenda serves as Assistant Dean of Education, of Manhattan West Bible Institute Academics Committee, chaplain of two local Gospel Music Groups, and a board member of The Love Images Organization. She is the Vice-President of Westside Plumbing, Inc.; a family-owned business established by her father in 1951.

For 30 “blissful” years Brenda has been married to the love of her life Eugene. They have an incredible blended family of eight children, twenty-three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Brenda’s ministry goal is to be a minister of excellence; she believes the only way to achieve this level of excellence is to pray without ceasing, always seek the wise counsel of God, and obey His every command.  The motto of her life and ministry is “Prayer is not a choice it’s a MANDATE!”
